This policy explains how WOVARK handles personal data when you visit wovark.shop, buy from us or contact us.

Who is responsible

What we collect

Order data: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, items ordered, order value and currency.
Payment data: payments are handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (for example card type and last four digits), never your full card number.
Account data: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
Messages: what you send us through the contact or withdrawal forms or by email.
Newsletter: your email address and the date you gave consent.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept in server logs for security, and the essential cookies described in our Cookie Policy.

Why we use it and our legal bases

To take, deliver and support your order, handle returns and refunds: performance of a contract.
To keep accounting and tax records: legal obligation.
To prevent fraud and keep the website secure: legitimate interests.
To answer your messages: legitimate interests or performance of a contract.
To send our newsletter: consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing us.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Payment providers: Stripe and PayPal process payments. They act as independent controllers for the payment data they collect. See the Stripe Privacy Policy and the PayPal Privacy Statement.
Delivery companies: your name, address, and email or phone so they can deliver and send tracking updates.
Service providers: our website host and email service provider, who process data on our behalf under contract.
Authorities: where the law requires it, for example tax authorities or customs.

International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom. Some providers process data in the EU, the UK or the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EU, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as required by UK law.
Customer account: until you ask us to delete it, or after 3 years without activity.
Messages: up to 2 years after the matter is closed.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Server logs: up to 30 days.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email support@wovark.shop. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, the data protection authority of your country, for example Datatilsynet in Denmark or the data protection authority of your federal state in Germany.

United States residents

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Depending on your state (for example California), you may have rights to know, access, correct and delete your personal information. Email support@wovark.shop to use them; we will not treat you differently for doing so.

Children

Our shop is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

The website uses HTTPS encryption throughout. Access to order data is limited to people who need it to fulfil and support your order.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
